In Opera GX my skipped frames are going nuts, when on the same PC in Firefox or Chrome stay at a steady 0 skipped frames. As suggested by some folks who faced a similar issue, uBlock Origin does the job for them. To add a bit more, Twitch has a "Video Stats" option when watching a stream that shows the frames per second, bitrate, skipped frames, etc. 1) Go to opera://settings/adBlockerLists 2) Click on the button 'Update lists' 3) Restart the browser But there's a better to fix this issue and that is by opting for a third-party adblocker that may work better to restrict ads on YouTube. It does still show that there are X number of people I'm following live, even though it's not signed in so I'm sure that's just more of a visual bug than anything. If anyone knows a way to sign-out of the Twitch sidebar, I'd appreciate those steps (I'm probably just missing something painfully obvious).Įdit: I was able to "sign out" of the sidebar by removing my OperaGX connection in my twitch connection settings. Their sidebar for GX also has a Twitch addon, which I'm attempting to sign out of but I literally see no way or option of doing that. This isn't happening in Firefox Quantum or Chrome, and I've tried disabling the only extension I'm using in Opera which is their built in Opera adblock and still no luck. I've been using Opera GX for a couple of weeks now and have been enjoying it, however I've noticed (since the last update) a number of streams that I attempt to watch in the browser have this weird slow motion and then catch up effect.
